Underground Foreman

Greater Tampa Bay, FL Full-time

Lead and manage underground construction crews on directional drilling, trenching, boring, and plowing projects for fiber optic infrastructure deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily field operations for underground construction crews, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met
  • Operate and supervise the use of directional drilling (HDD), trenching, boring, and plowing equipment
  • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and utility locates before breaking ground
  • Coordinate with project managers on scheduling, material needs, and crew assignments
  • Enforce all OSHA safety requirements and company safety protocols on the jobsite
  • Mentor and train crew members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and construction techniques
  • Maintain daily production logs, equipment inspection records, and crew timesheets

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience in underground utility or fiber optic construction
  • Experience operating directional drilling equipment (Ditch Witch, Vermeer, or equivalent)
  • Ability to read construction plans and utility locates
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a crew of 4-8 workers

Fiber Splicer

Perform precision fusion splicing and testing on fiber optic networks, ensuring every connection meets strict performance standards for reliable broadband delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fusion splicing on both ribbon and single-fiber cables using industry-standard splicers
  • Conduct OTDR testing, power meter verification, and visual fault location to ensure splice quality
  • Build and organize splice enclosures, patch panels, and fiber distribution hubs
  • Troubleshoot and repair damaged fiber in aerial, underground, and building environments
  • Document all splice work, test results, and as-built records for project closeout
  • Maintain splicing equipment, keep tools calibrated, and manage fiber inventory

Requirements

  • 1+ years hands-on fusion splicing experience (ribbon and/or single-fiber)
  • Proficiency with OTDR, power meters, and visual fault locators
  • FOA certification preferred (CFOT, CFOS/S, or equivalent)
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Installation Technician

Responsibilities

  • Install fiber service drops (aerial and underground) from distribution points to customer premises
  • Place and configure ONTs (Optical Network Terminals), routers, and associated customer equipment
  • Test and verify signal levels using power meters to ensure reliable service delivery
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, explain equipment, and answer questions
  • Maintain organized work vehicle with proper tools, materials, and safety equipment
  • Complete accurate daily production records and work orders in company systems

Requirements

  • Previous FTTH installation experience preferred (training provided for strong candidates)
  • Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in crawl spaces
  • Strong customer service skills and professional appearance

Drop Bury Technician

Greater Tampa Bay, FL Full-time

Install and bury fiber optic service drops from distribution pedestals to customer premises, ensuring proper burial depth and full compliance with safety codes and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Bury fiber optic service drops at proper depth per client specifications and local codes
  • Operate vibratory plows, trenchers, and mini-excavators for drop burial operations
  • Complete sidewalk and driveway bores using directional boring attachments
  • Verify all utility locates are completed before any ground disturbance
  • Restore job sites to original or better condition — reseed lawns, replace sod, repair landscaping
  • Maintain and perform daily inspections on all assigned vehicles and equipment
  • Coordinate with installation crews and dispatch for efficient scheduling

Requirements

  • Experience with underground utility installation or landscaping equipment preferred
  • Ability to operate trenchers, vibratory plows, and boring equipment (training available)
  • Comfortable with physical outdoor work in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
  • Attention to detail for site restoration and customer property care

Fiber Blower

Greater Tampa Bay, FL Full-time

Operate specialized fiber blowing equipment to install fiber optic cable through conduit systems, ensuring clean pathways and proper cable handling throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Operate fiber blowing machines (Plumett, CBS, or equivalent) to install cable through conduit
  • Prepare cable ends and conduit for blowing operations — clean, swab, and seal pathways
  • Monitor air pressure, cable speed, and distance readings during blowing to prevent cable damage
  • Perform conduit mandrel testing and verification before cable placement
  • Assist with conduit placement, cable pulling, and general underground construction as needed
  • Complete basic cable testing and documentation after each installation run
  • Maintain blowing equipment, compressors, and associated tools in working condition

Requirements

  • Previous fiber blowing or cable installation experience preferred (will train the right candidate)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot pneumatic equipment
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in various conditions
  • Valid driver's license

Underground Laborer

Greater Tampa Bay, FL Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Support construction crews with hand digging, conduit placement, and vault installation
  • Assist with directional drilling operations including rod handling and pipe fusion

Construction Supervisor

Manage and coordinate multiple underground and aerial construction crews across active project sites in the Ft. Myers market. This is a senior field leadership role responsible for crew performance, quality, and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple construction crews across concurrent project sites
  • Plan daily crew assignments, materials allocation, and equipment deployment for maximum productivity
  • Conduct field inspections to ensure work quality meets client specifications and industry standards
  • Serve as primary field contact between crews, project managers, and clients
  • Track crew production, timesheets, and project milestones against schedules

Responsibilities

  • Engage homeowners door-to-door to educate them on fiber internet services and benefits
  • Guide interested customers through the sign-up and installation scheduling process
  • Meet and exceed daily and weekly sales targets and KPIs
  • Use company CRM tools to log interactions, track leads, and manage your territory
  • Attend daily team meetings and ongoing training sessions
  • Represent We Agree and our telecom partners with professionalism and integrity

Requirements

  • No prior sales experience required — comprehensive training program provided
  • Outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills
